Night 3 Recap

Songs/Opening

Is the energy waning? The kids look a little tired tonight. 🫪 Someone get us some more sugar or something!

Game Time

The first game up tonight was target practice. 4 boys and girls run down the way, pick up a nerf gun and try shoot a cup down. Not just any cup, though! Boys aim for red cups and girls aim for blue cups. There were two special cups which were much harder to hit, that cup is worth 5 points. All other cups are worth 1 point. The first two boys and girls all missed their shot, but on the third a boy accidentally shot a blue cup. So that’s 5 points for the girls which nailed victory for the girls in the first round.

The girls managed to hit one cup the second round (this.

On the third round, both the boys and the girls knocked down a cup, but then in the last moment the girls shot down one more to seal the victory for the third round!

The second to last round was adults and the guys managed to knock 2 cups down and the ladies got 1 cup down.

The final round was two adults and 2 kids per team. The boys walked away with the special cup and a few more points, sealing the victory!

Tonights round of There’s a Snake in My Boots saw two kids walk away with a prize!

Skit

We join the new Sheriff and the townsfolk as they are going about their day. Karen comes running in out of breath with the most important news. There was shooting going on all night long! Unbeknownst to her, those were fireworks (and she’s sure they didn’t have a permit!).

Sheriff Johnson needs to go to the bank…for a withdrawal, but before he can get into the bank, it’s a robbery! The bandit holds the townspeople for ransom unless he gets the money from the bank. The bandit leads Johnson to the bank vault, but suddenly the tides turn.

Johnson reveals he is Leroy! Oh no! Leroy threatens the bandit and forces him to help Leroy steal the money from the bank. This does not look good.

Penny Drive

Tonight’s missionaries are Jason and Sarah Knabb - Missionaries to Jáltipan, Veracruz, Mexico.

The boys came out with guns a’blazing and took a very quick lead and it took quite the moment for the girls to catch up, but they overtook the boys and held their lead for quite bit! That did not stop the boys as they managed to pull ahead again, but it didn’t take long for the girls to take and hold a commanding lead! The boys tried one last ditch effort to usurp the girl’s lead, but they could not stop the girls from claiming victory.

While it’s all fun and shaking adults down for money is even more fun, this is all for our missionaries and we enjoy getting the kids involved in helping out raise money for missions.

Puppet Show

Bucktooth is not very happy about his community service. Buck and the gang aren’t aware that God wants them for SERVICE…not community service.

Service means using your life to serve others and God. After Salvation, we surrender our lives to God and work to serve Him!

King Solomon - God told Solomon that he could ask for anything. Solomon didn’t choose anything worldly; he asked God for wisdom. Solomon cared more about serving his people rather than serving himself. God blessed Solomon with wisdom, but he also blessed him with riches!

God can use anyone who is willing; even if they’re not famous, or even if they’re young!

Preaching

Tonight’s preacher is Micaiah Collins.

Solomon was told by his dad, David, that he was wanted by God. David has announced to the people that Solomon will be the next king and God has a job for Solomon to do.

Solomon had to prepare for the job he had to do. David asked Solomon directly was that if he actually knew God. If you’re going to do anything for God, you’re going to have to know Him! How do we do that? Though salvation! You have to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

There’s a difference in knowing God and knowing about God. That is the same thing that David told Solomon. Solomon needed to know God with a perfect heart, a complete heart. A perfect heart comes from God and should be used for God. You have to be willing to do the job, though!

God is willing to reward anyone that fears and follows Jesus. A book of remembrance for those who point to Jesus.

You know that you’re saved, but you may not know what God wants you to do. That shouldn’t stop you from doing anything for God. The serving spirit will do whatever job God has for them. Whether its a missionary, a preacher, or any other job, we should do it for God’s glory. That’s what God wants for you! God wants your life to point to the Savior. God has picked out you and you are wanted by God.
